I apologize for the unanticipated leave of absence, if you will. Just like everyone else in the world, we have been in survival mode since the beginning of the pandemic. How are you guys doing out there? What have you found that works for your sanity? For us, it’s family time…
As the Covid Chaos, as we’ll call it, started… we had cabin fever. Like, really bad! If you know us, we don’t sit still nor do we stay home for long periods of time. Being forced to stay indoors and away from other people was torture! We decided to visit an RV dealership, well because they were open! We took a look and came home with one…lol. The only appropriate name we could come up for it was: “Social Distance”. It’s a tiny starter travel trailer, no slide outs, and is 21ft long. Which we quickly learned that the measurement includes the hitch area, so we actually have a 17ftx8ftx8ft living space. It’s perfect for short getaways, and Covid friendly! We told ourselves that we MUST use it, or we weren’t going to get it.
So far, we’ve used the RV about once a month on average. We’ve camped in several campgrounds and learned lots.. I mean lots! The biggest thing we’ve learned is the beauty of simplicity. When we’re camping we have less than a third of our belongings and love every minute of it. It gives us a time to unplug from the world and enjoy one another.
On that note, we are about to start a 2wk adventure/Vacation in our RV!! So, I hope you will follow along with us as we travel and experience new things. I’ll try my best to do a daily entry.
Stay safe out there!
