We woke up and had a quick breakfast (and special surprise visit from Abby’s 1st grade teacher! ❤️), then we headed to The Apple Barn for lunch. We got right in- shocker! We ate a wonderful lunch and perused the store for a few goodies. Then we were off to the Old Time Photos appointment (Happy Father’s Day to Matt). Well, they were down a photographer and we had to leave after 45min so we wouldn’t miss our Titanic museum reservation. The titanic museum was pretty neat! I’m so glad we had the girls watch the movie so they understood what was going on. PS: that water was COLD!

I checked my phone only to find out that our Walmart pick up was delayed (kind of in our favor, but also a bummer). Let me tell you too, Sprint/T-Mobile SUCKS in TN… getting a signal is like the odds of winning the lottery, it’s been that wonderful!
Since we had time to wait on Walmart, we swung back by the old time photos. They were so happy we did and the manager greeted us. “I’m so sorry about earlier, that shouldn’t have ever happened! We’re going to take care of you and there won’t be a wait at all!” Oh ok, so we went back to prep/costume shop. We got done and they gave us ALL our photos digitally and an 8×10 of our favorite for free! -I’ll share those shortly.
We were starving after that, we hadn’t eaten since 1130 and it’s now 7. Now we get to play the “who’s open and staffed without an hour wait”. We called a few, but found a Mexican place by our campground… score!
We ate and rushed to the campground so the girls can swim before the pool closes for the night. They’ve been begging to visit a pool! -I canceled our pickup, I’ll have to reorder before bed.
So, today’s lesson: Planning doesn’t guarantee smooth sailing. When you get a curve ball, make the best of it… you’ll get rewarded for sure!
Until tomorrow….
