Another wonderful Christmas in the books! Almost 300 kiddos were blessed by our community this year!
You see, as part of my duties at work I’m responsible for making sure all presents make their way to each child. So, you can imagine what my last couple of weeks have been like. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost 20lbs! Lol
I may be exhausted (and a lil sore), but knowing these kids will have presents for them on Christmas morning makes it all worth it! You guys have no idea how hard a case manager works each day. How often they have to reschedule their personal life/plans. How many late nights they have, which takes them away from their loved ones. How often they are treated like dirt from clients and feel unappreciated for helping those who are in their position due to their own actions. Spending excessive amounts of time with kids who are not their own… all while trying to stay on top of deadlines, court dates, services, etc. it’s a lot!
So next time you see a caseworker: thank them and give them a much needed hug (if they like hugs lol)!
Do you have a case worker you’d like to give a shout-out to? -feel free to share this and give them the recognition they deserve ❤️
