Christmas came and went, but Pam’s presence has been sporadic since going into the domestic violence shelter. Thankfully our agency is diligent in making sure she confirms so the kids aren’t picked up unnecessarily. I have heard horror stories where the kids are picked up and spend hours outfor no reason. Let’s not mention the toll it takes on them knowing that mommy and daddy didn’t show up. It seems that Mondays and Wednesdays are a struggle for Pam. I asked Rachel why this was, but there wasn’t a certain reason. She feels it’s either methadone treatment appointments or she may be visiting Dustin against their recommendations. Time will tell.
As a Foster Parent, it’s hard to stay calm and positive forthem sometimes. Knowing their mother isn’t making the best choices and that sheis missing out on their milestones. Chloe finally started walking just before Christmas and she missed that. Abby got her first bike and helmet; she missed that. Abby had her 3rd birthday and we haven’t seen her to give her any photos or have the opportunity for her to give her presents. It’s sad…
We have another Judicial Review Scheduled in the next weekor so, maybe we will see her then.
